The Red Bull uspg was held in Monterey, California during Forth of July weekend at the Laguna Seca Raceway. This years Red Bull Grand Prix was not as exciting as last years Stoner versus Rossi. Pedrosa came out of no where to come in first place in over a year. Although Dani does not have enough points to fight for the title it was a good win for Repsol Honda. Another milestone for Dani was this is his first win since he switched to Bridge Stones. Nicky Hayden 2006 Moto Gp champion earned fifth place better than normal on the Ducati GP09. Another surprise was how many crashes there where this year. Lorenzo crashed twice one high side out of Rainey curve and the other a low side almost in the same spot. Casey Stoner 2007 champion crashed during practice in turn 3 going right into four. Nicky Hayden also had a little spill but nothing serious. Although Lorenzo had a terrible crash he still was able to race. Lorenzo suffered partial dislocation of his right collarbone and a bruised right foot. It was amazing that he came third place. He needed help walking up to the podium. That shows the heart and determination that these racers have. The eight time GP winner Valentino Rossi saw the crashes in a interview. He is still susprised that his teammate still had the courage to race. Nicky Hayden has higher expectations than a fifth place victory. He says it will do. He is used to winning and getting podiums. Toni Elias did better than normal, He came in sixth. His best performance for the 2009 season. In other news the Texas Tornado scored his 100th point becoming 14th overall the Motogp's 61 years in history. He finished seventh at Laguna Seca.

Nicky Hayden has a signature edition bike which was shown for the first time at Laguna Seca. It's a red white and blue Ducati 848 hand signed by Nicky Hayden. Hayden also had a new race bike design for the fans rolling out on his Ducati GP09 and of course a matching helmet. Hayden wanted to improve his position and maybe get some hardware at Indy. Coming up next will be the Motogp in Germany where the Kentucky Kid dose pretty well.
